Ok, I've bought all the way to the "last upgrade" (not really since there's other upgrades I haven't bought yet) and the game was very fun, but I also found a lot of problems during playing.

the first is lag issue. It seem the longer the game goes on, the laggier it gets. granted, it takes a long time to lag, but it lag nonetheless. There was even a time where the it would freeze for a solid 3-4 seconds before resuming during the plinko machine gameplay. I do play on browser, and refreshing the page seem to remove the lag, but there's still a significant slowdown on the upgrade map screen (this one seems to be present from the very start, it takes a while to drag the map around no matter what).

Speaking of the upgrade map, while it looks really well done (especially since I've played before the makeover, so the glow up is very noticeable) but the lag is very bad. Also, the way it spreads out makes it really hard to quickly upgrade the left, middle, and right side fairly. I often upgrade one part a ton, slows down, became annoyed with how long it takes to progress, and then realize I haven't been upgrading the other parts due to the distance and lag making me not want to move as much as I could. The zoom out doesn't help much either since it doesn't zoom out all that much.

Also, I don't know if you coded it that way but... does the price of upgrades fluctuate? I could've sworn an upgrade was cheaper previously and then suddenly it became expensive later, or an upgrade is expensive, but then it became cheaper. I can't tell since the houses kinda blend in with one another the longer I play the game so I don't know if it's actually true or if my mind is messing with me. If it's true then... can you make it not fluctuate? I'm guessing (if it is true) that this is so that an upgrade would never become too expensive to buy but, since it's also increasing it makes it really frustrating to see an buyable cheap upgrade suddenly rise in price later on, especially since in the late game you have to play almost a minute and a half of plinko before being able to buy just 1 upgrade. This is especially prominent in the late game where I could earn 20B or so cash but the upgrades are around 25B+, meaning if I want to 100% the game, I have to wait for a long time just watching the plinko machine play by itself (since, as I mentioned before, game last like 90 seconds each)

One last problem with the map (sorry but the biggest problem I had while playing the game is during the upgrade map, this one is a simple one though), I believe there's a tile set error here, those corner cliff edge things is everywhere and it looks out of place.

The last problem I'll mention is the sound. Despite turning the sound all the way down, why could I still hear the sound of the token ball thing reaching the bottom? If I turn the sound all the way down, it should remove that sound as well. if you want to separate those sound, there should be multiple sound options to adjust the sound of each.

Edit: I got around to finish buying all the upgrade, and it was extremely boring, needing an average of 2 games per upgrade. the cost of these upgrades definitely need some rebalancing in my opinion. Also, another problem with the map (yup, upgrade map again). the lights turning off is a cool foreshadowing to the creepy element of the game but... it was so hard to find that 1 upgrade I haven't bought yet. trying to find that 1 house that has 1 light still not yet extinguish is very hard, especially due to the laggy dragging you need to do. The zoom out here doesn't help much since the more zoomed out you are, the smaller the light became, while the more zoomed in you are, the harder it is to tell where you are on the map (and the middle is the worse of both world.)

Thank you, this is exactly the kind of report that helps. v0.1.6 is up with fixes for most of it:

- Sound: the slider wasn't covering the payoff sounds (the landing chime, jackpot, register). It does now.
- Map lag: the ground was being drawn tree by tree every frame (about 2,600 draws). It's now pre-rendered, so dragging should be smooth. There's also a wider zoom-out that shows the whole town.
- Cliff corners on the grass: my mistake, wrong tile. Fixed.
- Prices: you weren't imagining it. Named buildings were priced relative to your income, so they went up as you earned more (and down as you expanded). Now a price you've seen on the map can only go down for that level.
- The late-game grind: the demo now ends at the house on the hill with a proper "end of demo" card, so nobody has to buy the last 15% of houses at a minute and a half each. The full game handles that stretch differently.
- The slowdown over a long session: I couldn't reproduce a leak yet, but I'm running a long automated session to track it down. If you notice it again in 0.1.6, a rough time-played and ball count would help.

Thanks for playing it that far.

I noticed different rounding rules for values under and above 1,000. E. g. a number can be rounded to 169 with the rule for lower numbers, but a number 10 times larger may be rounded as 1.70K (e. g. when a token is golden).

Good catch, thank you! You're right: numbers under 1,000 were being cut off while bigger ones were rounded, so the same amount could read differently. Fixed in v0.1.1 (just uploaded): everything now rounds the same way, so it's 170 and 1.70K. Thanks for playing and for reporting it!
